What a weekend! Finally our kids were baptized this past weekend. They are 3 and 6, but we finally found a church home since moving to Idaho, so it was now the right time and place. We were so fortunate to have all our VIPs with us to celebrate (except Uncle Jay :-(), so we felt surrounded with love all weekend.

Above is all the family on Saturday night. Everyone came over to our house for dinner. It was fun just hanging out and visiting with everyone-Fred's parents, my parents, my sister and her family, and of course Gwyneth and Mac's godparents-Auntie Bob and Uncle Gary.
Sunday was the big day! We all headed over to the Cathedral of the Rockies, along with some other friends and family, and the kids were baptized as part of the 11:00am service.
It was a very special moment for all of us. I managed not to cry! Don't know how!! I have gotten teary at other kid's baptisms in our church who I didn't even know!) It was a good thing. :-) Gwyneth and Mac were great and seemed really into the whole process. Mac was a little unsure of the whole water on his head, and Gwyneth told me later her favorite part was when Pastor Steve did the sign of the cross on her forehead with the oil.

Mac concluded the baptism by raising his hands to the heavens and proclaiming "God!" (or at least that's what some thought he said!) as he walked down the steps back to our seats. The entire congregation was laughing, and Fred's dad was laughing so hard he was crying. Typical Mac!
After the service we all returned to our house for lunch and more visiting, and of course, Mac's favorite part-cake (well, the frosting at least!)! It was a wonderful day spent with family and friends. The kids received many special gifts that we will be able to enjoy for years to come.
Thanks, again, to everyone that joined us! It was a very special day!
